
Kimberly, who is originally from the
Kansas City area, has played in clubs from the age of sixteen. She graduated
from The University of Southern California with a degree in studio/jazz guitar
(cum laude). While at USC, she received a merit scholarship and an
award for professional leadership and service within her department. She
also graduated with honors from Musicians Institute (GIT), of Hollywood, CA. She has
worked with saxophonist Joe Houston (Shattered records), Zola Moon (Kent
records), The Shirelles and B.J. Sharp (Moxie records/BMG). Kimberly has toured
the U.S. and Canada playing venues such as The Portland Rose Festival, The
Playboy Jazz Festival, The Santa Monica Twilight Concert Series (sharing
the stage with Roomful of Blues), Irvine Lake Blues Festival (sharing the stage
with Robben Ford) and The Burnaby British Columbia Blues Festival (sharing the
stage with the Neville Brothers). Additionally, she regularly plays local club
venues such as BB King's, Harvelle's and The Blue Cafe. In 1998, Kimberly was
nominated as "outstanding guitarist" by the L.A. Music Awards. In 2001, she was
a finalist for the Independent Music Awards-A national competition for
independent music. Kim's first solo disc, Old, New, Borrowed and Blues has been
the subject of rave national and international reviews in publications such as
Blues Revue. It has also received international airplay and has been picked up
